A Springtime Social Meet-up

By Grand Central 24 Apr 2015

As you’d expect, with a little under six months to go until launch day, the retailers and restaurateurs of Grand Central Birmingham are all super busy with their store and restaurant opening plans.

So with anticipation mounting we thought it was high time, and the perfect moment, to arrange a special meet-up between our retailers, our restaurateurs, our wonderful bloggers and our cultural partners, including some of the performers from the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Hippodrome.

During the meet-up Grand Central’s Communications & Engagement Manager, Ashley Innis, spoke to guests about the Grand Central project and what it means to the City of Birmingham. A proud Brummie, Ashley has been involved in many construction and redevelopment projects around the City – but he cites the design and redevelopment of Grand Central as being one of the most amazing of all.

The meet-up also included a chance for invited guests to find out more about the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the life of a dancer and why Birmingham is such a great place to live and work.  Tom Rodgers (who is Birmingham born) and Laura Day kept guests enthralled with tales of their dancing careers and being part of such an exciting ballet company in its 25th Birthday year.

Here’s a gallery of images from the evening…

Thanks to all our bloggers, restaurateurs and VIPs that attended.
