Meet Our Bloggers

By Grand Central 11 Aug 2015

We are thrilled to have some of Birmingham and the Midlands most exciting bloggers regularly contributing to our blog. Out and about in the City, they will be covering and reporting from events in and around Birmingham as well as writing exciting posts about restaurants, fashion, beauty and keeping us up to date with excting things happening in Birmingham.

ASHLEY INNIS

Ashley will be sharing his thoughts about a range of Grand Central related themes plus his  views on a range of exciting things to see, visit and do in Birmingham. A lifelong Brummie,  Ashley has been involved with Grand Central since 2012 so is ideally placed to write about  all  of the great things that Grand Central will bring when it opens in September. Involved  with a  range of other Major Projects in the City he is particularly proud about how Birmingham is transforming and broadening its appeal across a range of spectrums from shopping to dining, culture to entertainments. He is particularly interested in fashion, technology, sport and music.

CITYSCAPE BLISS

Tereza is Cityscape Bliss. Tereza, originally from a tiny village in the Czech Republic, came  to  study in Birmingham six years ago. Her plan was to test the waters living in a big city  and  she's not looked back once. She loves looking at the world through the lens of her  camera,  being a devoted cat lady, wearing shift dresses with chunky heels and blogging  her life away on her blog Cityscape Bliss, where you can find everything from sneak peeks into her wardrobe to how to make your own DIY sofa.

EMILY JAYNE

Living in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter is Emily Jayne, a blogger and stylist who just loves  the vibrancy and diversity that makes up the City. Passionate about colour (she never wears  black!) Emily believes that fashion is something that should be enjoyed by women of all  shapes, sizes and ages - something she concentrates on in her work as a personal stylist  and  well-known blogger. Having lived in or around Birmingham for most of her entire life (apart from a brief adventure 'up north' for uni!) she also loves that blogging allows her to talk about all the fab fashion and beauty related things going on in the city.

FULL TO THE BRUM

Laura runs Full to the Brum, a blog which celebrates the vibrant food and drinks scene in  the  city. The blog was initially set up when Laura realised a lot of her friends were keen to  hear  about her gastronomic adventures and thought it would save time if she blogged  about it. A  lifelong Brummie, Laura has lived in east, north and now south Birmingham  and  as well as  blogging and working full time, she runs a book club and co-organises Birmingham Skeptics in the Pub.

LULA BELLE

Lula Belle is editor of Glamour in the County a blog which is dedicated to bringing a touch of  glamour to your life and showing how you can achieve a life that is enriched by exciting  experiences and interesting discoveries. A few of the things she loves are drinking coffee  whilst watching the world go by, the seasons, exploring our heritage, the new seasons  styles,  finding new dining experiences, and being in the city at sunrise and dusk.

KATIE HUGHES

We wanted to give our blog an architectural perspective so that’s why Katie Hughes is the  perfect blogger for us. By day Katie works for an architectural practice in the Jewellery  Quarter  where she specialises in residential, social housing & urban regeneration projects;  in her free  time Katie is also a volunteer blogger for the Birmingham Conservation Trust  and a member for the Birmingham Architectural Association (The BAA). A born and bred Brummie, Katie is truly passionate about Birmingham, its culture and loves to explore new spaces within the city. Katie is compiling a blog series: ‘The Changing Faces of Birmingham’. They will focus on the history and many aspects of Birmingham’s buildings and spaces as the city transforms through the ages and into the future. We love her work, we hope you do too…

LISA WILLIAMS

Lisa Williams is our blogger from John Lewis. And it’s fair to say that after 25 years working  in  retail, Lisa knows a thing or two about the wonderful world of shopping especially fashion  and  homeware. But it’s the fact that Lisa originally comes from Shirley and loves  Birmingham that  also makes her the perfect blogger for Grand Central Birmingham.

LUXX MINT

An avid lifestyle blogger living in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, Luxx Mint has  been blogging beautifully for over 5 years. With a true passion for travel and love of food,  Luxx Mint covers lifestyle, style, beauty, travel and food so she is constantly researching new  destinations to explore as well as trying new restaurants and cafes when they open in the  city.  And as for Luxx Mint’s list of favourite things…? Well here they are: Cheese, nail polish, skinny jeans, Brazil, champagne, American pancakes, beaches, ankle boots, coconut, swimming, suntans, brunch, Miami, juicing, tennis, sushi, sunshine, books, Tokyo, the colour grey, palm trees, and the ocean.

THE FOODIECOUPLE

The Foodie Couple Blog is a Food & Lifestyle blog that began as a diary of the restaurant  adventures of Roz Goodgame and her husband Lee, as they vowed to eat their way around  the  Michelin Star restaurants of the world (and maybe some slightly less expensive places  too!) It  has developed into a foodie haven, encompassing everything from their own  cooking exploits & testing out chef’s recipes to foodie festivals, events & market visits, to restaurant & product reviews with a little bit of travel and luxury lifestyle thrown in for good measure.

VERITY MILLIGAN

Verity is a photographer who can be regularly found chasing the light. She moved to  Birmingham permanently two years ago and made it a mission to make friends with the  City  by exploring the streets, canals and parks with her trusty camera. She is passionate  about  finding both the obvious and hidden beauty of Birmingham and sharing it with the  world, engaging with local communities and helping create a sense of pride in the City. We think Verity's photography is truly stunning and we are delighted she said 'Yes' to being one of our bloggers.
